First Time at Egg Haven? What to Expect

Egg Haven sits at 301 3rd Street SW in downtown Winter Haven, and it runs the way a neighborhood breakfast spot should. You walk in, someone greets you, and you pick a place to sit. There is no host stand and no waiting list to sign up for. If you have never been, this is what the first visit looks like.
Walk in, no reservation needed
Egg Haven does not take reservations. Dining is first come, first served, and the restaurant says so plainly on its Contact Us page: no reservations needed. You can sit at a table, take a seat at the counter, or ask for a spot on the covered patio outside. Solo diners tend to like the counter, and families with kids usually head for a table.
Hours and the all-day breakfast
The doors are open every day of the week. Monday through Saturday the hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and on Sunday the kitchen opens at 7:00 am and closes at 3:00 pm. Breakfast is served all day within those hours, so a late morning visit or an early afternoon one can still start with eggs. Lunch items such as burgers, salads and wraps are on the menu at the same time.
Picking what to eat
Before you go, it helps to look through the menu pages so you already have an idea when you reach the counter. The breakfast menu and the burgers, salads and wraps menu cover the everyday lineup. The weekly specials board changes, so it is worth checking that before you decide. When you finish, ask your server about the dessert of the day. The cakes and pies are made in the Egg Haven kitchen.
If you would rather not wait
Egg Haven also works well as a pickup stop. Call 863-268-8269, place your order, and collect it at the front counter. Delivery is not offered through that line. The Order Ahead Guide walks through the steps in more detail.
Getting there
The restaurant is in the downtown area of Winter Haven, Florida 33880. The Location page has a map and a link for directions. Give yourself a few extra minutes on weekend mornings, since seating is on a walk-in basis and tables turn over at their own pace.
